SPECIAL PRE-PREMIERE SCREENING
Due to its exceptional relevance, the BIDF organizing team has decided to present this film - which is set to debut in the competition program of the 12th BIDF (January 24 – February 1, 2026) - to the Hungarian audience as part of a limited-time screening series.
The film is directed by Swedish filmmaker Viktor Nordenskiöld, already well-known to BIDF audiences and whose work has enriched our program on several occasions.
Following the screenings, we will host discussions with expert guests.
Our guests:
- Ákos Hadházy – Politician
- István Szent-Iványi – Foreign policy expert
- András Németh – Russia expert, contributor at HVG
It’s hard to feel proud as a Hungarian after watching the latest, already award-winning film by our Swedish colleague Viktor Nordenskiöld, which follows the life of Ukrainian Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration, Olha Stefanishyna, from the beginning of the Russian invasion over the course of three years. The Hungarian relevance within this Swedish film is striking. It prompts deep reflection on how European citizens might see us, Hungarians.
— Ági Sós, Founder and Director, BIDF
